5-Day Fly-In Serengeti Migration Crossing Safari from Arusha

Day 1: Arusha to Northern Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha and a transfer to the airport. You’ll take a scenic one-hour flight to the Northern Serengeti, arriving at Kogatende Airstrip around 11:00 AM.

Upon arrival, your private safari guide will welcome you and begin your first game drive. Head toward the Mara River to witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration crossings (seasonal). After an exciting day, transfer to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Northern Serengeti

Start your day at sunrise with a full-day game drive in the Northern Serengeti—one of the best places to witness the migration. Track herds of wildebeest and zebra and position yourself for potential river crossings.

The region is also rich in birdlife, with over 500 species, including ostriches, secretary birds, and black eagles soaring above the savanna. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

Enjoy an early morning game drive, then return to camp for breakfast. After checkout, continue toward the Mara River for another chance to witness migration crossings.

Later, proceed with a scenic game drive to the Central Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife year-round. Arrive at your luxury camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy a transfer game drive toward Ngorongoro, with excellent wildlife viewing along the way. Around mid-morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater—one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.

Spend approximately 5 hours exploring the crater floor, home to diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, and the rare black rhinoceros. Later, transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, drive 90 minutes to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.

In the afternoon, return to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari.
