Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
This combined Kenya and Tanzania safari starts from Nairobi. Pick up from the airport and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley. Stop to take photos at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, after which continue to Lake Nakuru National Park. Start the game drive as you drive towards the lodge. Arrive for dinner and overnight. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approximately 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park, including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon, and many species of plains game. Day 2: Lake Nakuru–Masai Mara
Early morning game drive in the park. After which—depart for Masai Mara, one of East Africa’s most famous reserves. The Mara consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa, if not the world. Arrive in the evening. Game drives here include lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle, and other abundant plains game, not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds.

Day 3: Masai Mara
Full days dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. You can watch a lion, cheetah, or leopard hunting or feasting on its kill. Option of a visit to a Masai village or a hot-air balloon ride that starts at 06.00 am and ends with a champagne breakfast on the plains. What an exhilarating experience!

Day 4: Masai Mara-Isebabia Border-Serengeti
Early morning, after breakfast, check out with packed lunches and drive to Isebania Border; enjoy packed lunches en route. Exchange vehicles and proceed to Serengeti. Arrive for a game drive en route as you drive towards the lodge. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp.

Day 5: Serengeti
Full-day safari in Serengeti. All meals and overnight at the lodge or camp.

Day 6: Serengeti-Ngorongoro
After breakfast, check out and drive to Ngorongoro with packed lunches—arrive and descend to the crater with picnic lunches until early evening. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp.

Day 7: Ngorongoro-Namanga-Amboseli
After an early breakfast, drive to Arusha and then to the Namanga border—exchange vehicles and proceed to Amboseli National Park. Lunch will be packed. Arrive for the evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.

Day 8: Amboseli – Airport
Early morning game drive and also mid-morning, after which we drove to Nairobi and transferred to the airport. End of Kenya and Tanzania safari.
