Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from the airport by Ernest Magic Tours & Safaris representative, who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha, where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come.

Day 2: Arusha-Tarangire National Park

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:00am and take you to a very special safari park in Tanzania. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The Tarangire safari park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent), which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The river of the park is full of wildlife, ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, African elephants. In fact, Tarangire has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. In the afternoon, we will still do a game drive before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we depart for Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands, which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest national park, and it is also one of the oldest ecosystems on earth. Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebras and antelope, move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year.

Day 4: Serengeti

Full day in Serengeti National Park. We are completely flexible with your preferences, and this day will be organized according to your wishes. On every day of the safari tour, your guide will discuss with you the best timings for you, including the game drives and the wake-up time. For example, on this day, you could do a morning game drive, return to the lodge camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full-day game drive with picnic lunch

Day 5: Serengeti Via Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

After an early breakfast, we continue with our en route drive inside Serengeti National Park before we depart to Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend down the crater, which is almost 610 m deep.

The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations on the whole African continent. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best

chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.

After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the crater, we head for our comfort partner lodges in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Karatu to Arusha/Zanzibar

After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and transfer to Arusha for a flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met by our representative, who will transfer you to the best honeymoon hotel in Zanzibar.

Day 7: Spice Farms and Stone Town Tour

The morning after breakfast at 9:30, you will be picked up at the spice farm, where you can see different types of spices and how they grow, plus taste the seasonal fruits. You will then have lunch at the spice farm and then do a Stone Town tour where you can see the historical site, slave market, daily market, narrow streets, and later shopping.

Day 8: Beach Stay at Zanzibar

Time to spend precious time on one of the best beaches in the world. You will spend these days relaxing at the beach hotel handpicked for the special needs of honeymooners. Any other activities and tours can be arranged by our travel experts, including the dolphin tour, a tour of Prison Island, or Jozani Forest, depending on your preferences. The safari blue or sunset dhow ride is also another activity that can be arranged.

Day 9: Departure Day

Depending on your flight schedule and departure point, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport to take a flight back home.
